Not tyres.

The cheapest tyre is the one that lasts longest, not the one with the lowest price today. Casumina builds a casing made to be retreaded, and we import it straight from the factory in Vietnam.

The case

The cheapest tyre rarely is

A tyre that lasts half as long is the most expensive one you can buy. Casumina sits above the budget Chinese brands and below the premium names — and the casing is built to live twice.

The price

Factory price, no markup

A normal truck tyre passes through three distributors before it reaches Iceland. Each one takes a margin. We skip all of them and buy straight from the factory — which is why our price sits somewhere else entirely.

Retreading

Two lives from every casing

Casumina builds the TBR casing to take several retreads, provided inflation pressure is maintained. You are buying a casing, not just a tread.

Inspection

Every tyre X-rayed

All finished tyres pass through X-ray inspection that detects internal defects. Half of production is additionally checked by shearography, which finds air bubbles down to the micron scale.

The plant

G7 machinery throughout

The radial plant in Bình Dương runs at roughly 70% automation, with a mixer from the United States, an Italian calender, German cutting machines and Japanese curing presses.

The range

Few sizes, always in stock

We keep a narrow range of the sizes that actually run here — 315/80R22.5, 295/80R22.5, 385/65R22.5 and 11R22.5. Fewer sizes means more tyres on the shelf when you need them.

The pre-sale

Fixed price, reserved space

Everyone who signs up before the first container closes gets a fixed price and a reserved size. Nothing is paid until the order is confirmed and a delivery date is set.

The range

Four surfaces. Four lines.

Casumina splits the TBR range by the surface the vehicle actually drives on. Pick a service type to filter.

We won't sell tyres that can't be sold

Every tyre we import is type approved and labelled to the rules that apply in Iceland and the EEA. If the approval isn't in place, the tyre simply doesn't go in the container.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What fleet managers ask us most often before they register.

What do Casumina truck tyres cost?

Price depends on size, pattern and quantity. Because we buy straight from the factory and skip the European distributors, our price sits well below what is normally stocked in Iceland. Register a reservation and you get a price for your size within two working days.

Are Casumina tyres any good?

Casumina has been making tyres since 1976 and is one of the largest exporters of truck tyres from Vietnam to the United States. The radial plant runs G7 machinery, every finished tyre is X-rayed and half of production also goes through shearography inspection. They sit above the budget Chinese brands and below the premium names.

Which sizes are available?

The core range is 315/80R22.5, 295/80R22.5, 295/75R22.5, 11R22.5 and 385/65R22.5 for trailers. We also offer 12.00R20, 11.00R20 and 12.00R24 for older vehicles and site equipment.

Can Casumina casings be retreaded?

Yes. The casing is built to take several retreads, provided inflation pressure is maintained throughout its life. That is the main reason cost per kilometre ends up lower than the purchase price alone suggests.

Do they suit Icelandic conditions?

The Bluestone and Redstone lines carry 19–24 mm of tread and a cut-resistant compound, which suits gravel roads and work sites well. Greenstone is built for sealed roads. Tell us where the vehicle runs and we will advise on pattern choice.

When do the tyres arrive?

Once the first container fills we close the pre-sale and confirm a delivery date. Everyone registered receives the date before any payment is made.

Do I pay anything to reserve?

No. A reservation is a non-binding registration. You pay nothing until the order is confirmed and a delivery date is set.

What does TBR mean?

TBR stands for Truck and Bus Radial — all-steel radial tyres for trucks and coaches, where the entire casing is built from steel rather than the textile plies of older bias tyres.
